The Client

Curry Inspection Services (CIS) is a rising star in the Alaska inspection services community. They specialize in residential home inspections and energy ratings.

The Challenge

CIS needs an Internet presence that will compliment their already well known customer driven service, so usability has to be top priority. Due to the rural nature of Alaska's communities, curryinspections.com has to be quick to load on even the slowest internet connection while still providing a sleek professional feel. Users will be requesting services via forms so confirmation that the user's information has been received is vital.

The Solution

Internet customer service has a few key tenants:

• navigation should be consistent on all pages
• the website should respond the way the user expects it to
• links should be provided in context
• there should be a way to contact the people running the website
• any information submitted to the website should be followed with a confirmation that the information was received or a notice if it wasn't

To reduce the time it takes to load the website, I designed curryinspections.com with minimal graphics. I harnessed the power of cascading style sheets to provide the imagery necessary for the website to maintain a professional look.

I used PHP 5 and the Zend Framework to perform back end functions like form validation, sending email confirmations, &c.
